Shipping policy

At ModBoys Customs, we specialize in high-quality custom-built consoles, controllers, and handhelds. Because each item is made to order, our fulfillment process consists of two stages: Processing Time (build phase) and Transit Time (shipping phase). These are separate and should be considered independently.
1. Processing & Handling Times
We differentiate handling times based on product type and current workshop volume.
Custom-Build Products
Each custom unit is hand-crafted to order and has a standard processing window of 1 to 21 business days.
Product pages include a Live Order Volume Status (Low, Moderate, High) and a “Custom Build” badge, which reflect current workshop capacity and indicate a custom-made product.
Processing times are estimates only and may vary depending on order volume and complexity. Orders may be completed sooner than the maximum stated timeframe during low-volume periods.
Processing time is separate from shipping time.
General Products
Items that are not custom-built (such as accessories, parts, and retail items) have a processing time of 1 to 7 business days.
Product Condition Standards
Controllers: Condition options (Mint In-Box, Mint, Refurbished) are clearly displayed on each product page.
Consoles & Handhelds: Sold as professionally refurbished, fully tested units.
Accessories: Sold as used where applicable and fully tested for functionality.
All items undergo quality testing at our Dundas facility before shipment.
Checkout Estimates Notice
Estimated delivery dates shown at checkout are calculated using maximum processing windows to ensure realistic delivery expectations. Orders may ship earlier than estimated dates shown, particularly during low-volume periods.
2. Shipping & Transit Estimates
We ship using trusted carriers including UPS, Canada Post and Purolator. Transit times begin once processing is complete.
United States (Contiguous 48 States)
Standard Shipping: 4–8 business days
Express Shipping: 2–3 business days
Canada
Standard Shipping: 3–9 business days
Express Shipping: 1–2 business days
Shipping times are estimates only and may be affected by carrier delays, weather, customs processing, or other factors outside our control.
3. Customs, Duties & Taxes
Sales Tax (Canada)
Applicable sales taxes (GST/HST/PST) are charged on all orders shipped within Canada in accordance with federal and provincial tax regulations. Taxes are calculated and collected at checkout for all Canadian provinces and territories.
Sales Tax (United States)
ModBoys Customs does not currently charge or collect U.S. state sales tax on orders shipped to the United States when purchased directly through our website. Orders placed through the SHOP app may have applicable sales tax automatically calculated and collected at checkout by the platform and remitted to the appropriate tax authorities.
Import Fees (United States)
Orders shipped to the United States may be subject to import duties, customs fees, tariffs, taxes, or brokerage charges imposed by the destination country or carrier. These fees are not included in the purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer. ModBoys Customs is not responsible for any import-related charges.
4. Rush Orders
Rush orders are prioritized in our production queue and processed ahead of standard orders. Priority processing affects queue position only and does not guarantee a specific completion date.
5. Shipping Restrictions
We currently do not ship to P.O. Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, or military APO/FPO addresses. All shipments are limited to Canada and the contiguous United States (lower 48 states).
6. Order Tracking
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can use this number to track your shipment’s progress online on our website via our built-in tracking page or on the selected carrier's website.
