Returns & Refund Policy

At ModBoys Customs, we are committed to customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, subject to the terms below.

1. Eligibility for Returns

Return Window

Items must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.

Condition Requirements

Returned items must be in their original received condition, unused, and include all original accessories, packaging, manuals, and inserts.

For “Mint In-Box” items, the original manufacturer packaging must also be included and remain in acceptable condition.

Third-Party Purchases

Items purchased through third-party retailers or marketplaces are not eligible for return through ModBoys Customs.

Final Sale Items

Final Sale items are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges.


2. Return Process

Initiating a Return

To request a return, contact our customer service team at info@modboyscustoms.com within 30 days of delivery. Please include your order number and the reason for the return.

Return Authorization

If your return request is approved, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with detailed return instructions.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item received was defective or incorrect.

Restocking Fees

ModBoys Customs does not charge restocking fees on approved returns.

Inspection & Refund Processing

All returned items are inspected upon arrival to ensure they meet our return eligibility requirements. Refunds are only issued after the returned item has been received and approved following inspection.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 2 business days of inspection approval.

The following charges are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund amount where applicable:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Return shipping charges
  • Customs duties and import taxes
  • Brokerage fees
  • Currency conversion fees
  • Non-recoverable payment processing fees
  • Any additional fees incurred by ModBoys Customs as a result of the transaction or return

Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

Orders refused by the customer, abandoned, or returned due to unpaid customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or import charges will be treated as a return.

Any original shipping charges, return shipping costs, customs charges, duties, brokerage fees, currency conversion fees, and non-recoverable payment processing fees incurred by ModBoys Customs will be deducted from the refund amount.


3. Exchanges

To exchange an item, please complete the return process for the original item and place a new order for the desired replacement item.


4. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled prior to shipment. However, payment processing fees charged by our payment providers are non-refundable to ModBoys Customs.

As a result, cancelled orders are subject to a cancellation fee equal to any non-recoverable fees incurred by ModBoys Customs, including but not limited to:

  • Payment processing fees
  • Currency conversion fees
  • Transaction fees

These fees will be deducted from the total refund amount.

Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled and must instead go through the standard return process outlined above.


Limited Warranty Disclaimer

ModBoys Customs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) warrants that each product sold through our website is tested and confirmed to be fully functional at the time of sale.

We provide a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase to the original purchaser, covering functionality-related defects under normal use.

Covered defects include, but are not limited to:

  • Console functionality issues
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity issues
  • Display issues
  • Software-related issues
  • Controller functionality issues


1. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact us immediately at info@modboyscustoms.com or 905-923-5580.

For valid warranty claims, we will provide instructions for returning the item at our expense using a prepaid shipping label.

This warranty coverage is valid for one (1) year from the original date of purchase.


2. Cosmetic Condition & Grading Standards

ModBoys Customs specializes in professionally customized and restored hardware. Because we work with both brand-new and pre-owned components, the cosmetic condition of your item is determined by the product tier selected at the time of purchase.

Mint In-Box / Mint

These units utilize brand-new original manufacturer controllers. While the internal components and shells are new, the units are handled in our workshop during the customization and modification process. As a result, minor signs of handling may be present.

Refurbished

These consoles, handhelds, and controllers are pre-owned and have been professionally cleaned and restored. They may exhibit cosmetic imperfections such as light scratches, minor discoloration, or signs of prior use.

Refurbished Re-Shell

These consoles, handhelds, and controllers include a brand-new custom exterior shell. Internal components originate from professionally refurbished pre-owned hardware.

Warranty Limitation

This is a functional warranty only. Cosmetic imperfections, surface wear, discoloration, or normal aging of pre-owned components are not covered under this warranty unless they affect the functionality of the product.


3. Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents
  • Damage caused by drops, impacts, liquid exposure, or improper storage
  • Damage resulting from unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations
  • Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic scratches or dents
  • Damage caused by failure to follow product instructions or guidelines


4. Warranty Remedies

If a valid functional defect arises during the one (1) year warranty period, ModBoys Customs may, at its sole discretion, provide one of the following remedies:

Repair

We will repair the defective product at no charge using new or refurbished replacement parts.

Exchange

We may replace the product with a comparable unit of equivalent model and condition.

Refund

If a repair or replacement is not possible, we may issue a refund for the original purchase price excluding any non-recoverable fees incurred during the transaction, including but not limited to payment processing fees, shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and currency conversion fees.


5. Warranty Shipping

ModBoys Customs covers all shipping costs associated with approved warranty claims for the duration of the one (1) year warranty period.

We will provide a prepaid shipping label for the return of the defective product and will cover the cost of shipping repaired or replacement units back to the customer.
